The Kenai Fjords, which are accessed out of Seward, AK are a wonder of glaciers (if you haven't seen and heard a glacier calving, you have a treat coming) wildlife and rock formations like these magnificent pitons rising from the frigid depths.
Summer is the best time of the year to visit due to the cold, dark months the rest of the year.
Tour boats range from 200 people to just 8 including crew.
You will probably want to cover a lens range from 24 mm to 400 or longer to get the grand land/seascapes and the distant wildlife.
Information is available on
the Seward, AK visitors bureau website.
