Thank you for considering one of my photos for a photo critique!
This past summer, my brother and a friend went for a two-night backpacking trip up Red Creek in the Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia. This shapely falls on a small tributary feeding into the main run was not marked on the map we were using, and at the time I didn't know if it even had a name, so when we stumbled upon it, it felt like we had found a special gem that no one else in the world knew about. :) The scramble off the trail down to the base of the falls was treacherous, but we worked together, holding equipment for each other and handing it down as we descended the rocks. My first impulse was to photograph only the main falls closer up, but feeling a need for a second element to balance the photo out, I continued downstream a bit until I found this nice little, secondary falls that fit nicely into a vertical frame.
