I wait for our Door County Ice Machine to turn on each winter and this year it was a great one. On Christmas eve day and night we had 5-10 degree temperatures and wind gusts of 50mph blowing onshore over an unfrozen bay. The resulting spray freezes on contact and anything near shore is heavily encased. This image shows the results of that ice machine on a Gills Rock building on Christmas Day. This was one of the most heaviest ice deposits I have seen in quite some years and even though the wind had lessened when I took this, there is still some spray building more ice. I know it doesn't look like it but this was taken with my drone.
