Hi everyone, our March photo challenge is: Shapes
Submission Deadline: March 28
Live critique webinar: March 30 at 5 p.m. EST. Register for the live event.
Shapes are the building blocks of successful photo compositions. We'd love to see your photos that get creative with shapes: circles, triangles, lines, squares, whatever shape makes you happiest! You can build your composition around a single prominent shape, make an interesting shape an important part of a more complex visual design, or show us a photo using a pattern of repeating shapes.

Our world contains a seemingly never-ending array of shapes (such as lines, curves, triangles, squares, spirals, rectangles, and circles). Learning how to recognize, identify, and work with all of these shapes—and, more critically, to find a way to make shapes work together —is fundamentally important to creating successful compositions. Shapes aren’t just created by objects (such as trees, boulders, bears, and the like)—they can also be created by the interplay of light and shadow, by the interaction of several objects, or by areas of color. You can learn more about working with shapes to create powerful visual designs from my Ultimate Photography Composition Course.
Good luck!
