Hi everyone! For our first episode of the new and improved Photo Critique, our new live video photo critique program, we have a simple theme. Show us your best of 2022! And we mean your very best; please submit your absolute favorite photo taken this past year. We'll critique some of our favorite photos during our live video event, and we'll pick our very favorite image as the winner. The submission deadline is January 3, 2023.

And what does the winner get, in addition to glory? A Platypod Extreme, from our amazing sponsor Platypod! You can learn more about the Extreme from my review on Photo Masters.
If you would like for your photo to be considered for our live critique, please create a forum post and select "The Photo Critique" as the category. You'll have to create a free account with us to post to our forum, but that's easy to do, just follow the online prompts which will guide you through the process.
We can't promise we will include every photo in our monthly critiques, but we will do our very best. Every episode will be live, but we'll also record it for those of you who can't make the live show. We'll post information on each upcoming Photo Critique webinar on this forum, and we'll also post taped episodes here as well. We are looking forward to seeing all of your amazing submissions, and in the meantime, please feel free to give some friendly feedback to others.
The Photo Critique LIVE!
Our live episode will be on January 5 at 4 p.m. Central Time. You can register here. If you can't make the live event, no worries, we will record it and post it to this forum.
Thanks!
Hmmm...you say don't post in these comments, but when I follow the prompts as you suggest, it takes me back here. I have many favorites from 2022, narrowed it down to 2. They are both composites. 1. Low Tide at Whytecliff was taken at Whytecliff Park in North Vancouver, BC. The sky was bright and bland, so replaced with the sky in the image as it matched the mood of the foreground. 2. Alberta Prairie taken in southern Alberta. Again, bright, bland sky, replaced with a sky taken a few days later in same area, and a textured layer added to give it that "fine art" look.
Please don't post photos in the comments here, instead, post photos in The Photo Critique forum: https://www.photowonders.com/forum/the-photo-critique
Make sure to select The Photo Critique as the category.
Thanks!
Hey there fellow photogs! Attached you will find my favorite photo of this past year that I recently captured in Bosque del Apache N.W.R., New Mexico. It was shot right at sunset in low light conditions making it a challenge to get a sharp image. This has been cropped to a 1 to 2 ratio and editing was pretty basic. Nikon D750, 200-500 zoom, F6.3. @ 1/100.
What size should the images be for submitting to the critique forum?
Are composites allowed?
