Hi Ian:
I am submitting two images for the March Photo Critique Webinar around the theme "shapes".
Disclaimer: These images were taken during a workshop with you at the SD Badlands in May 2022.
The images were captured on the last evening of the workshop. We first went to one location,
which didn't turn out to be photographically promising. So we changed plans and rushed to
a second location which invited us with undulating green grassy meadows and very pretty
mountain backdrops on three sides, as shown in the wide angle image. The honey-colored departing
sunlight of the day added to the rich ambience. We all rushed to different locations,
positioned ourselves, and happily started clicking the shutter in utter silence as if to not
disturb the meditative mood.
I was mesmerized by the slowly evolving sunlight on the yellow-tan mountains in distance.
I am sure that I would be perfectly happy staring at them till eternity, without taking a
single photo. I was indeed taking photos, trying to make use of the instructions you
have been teaching us during the previous three days of the workshop.

Then, somehow, one of your oft-repeated comments floated through my mind
"Always pay attention to the foreground". So I started paying attention to my foreground
(which is visible in the first image). This lead to my second image.
The second image is all about shapes and your imagination!
Thanks
